Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the only inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:105, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Revelation 22:18-19, John 17:17, 20:31, Luke 24:45).
WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:13).
WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (Luke 1:31-35, Hebrews 7:26, 1 Peter 2:22, Revelation 22:20, 1 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 9:6, Colossians 1:15-20)
WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God, that he was tempted by Satan and fell, and that all following Adam have sinned and are sinful; that repentance toward God, faith in Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are necessary for salvation. (Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 15:45-49, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Revelation 3:20 )
WE BELIEVE that followers of Jesus Christ are called to sanctification through identification with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection. (Romans 6:5-11, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 12:2)
WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, empowering, and gifts the Christian is enabled to live a life of godliness and effective service. (John 14:26, Acts 11:16-17, 1 Corinthians 12:3, Romans 8:14-17, Ephesians 4:11-13, Hebrews 2:4, Galatians 3:28)
WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to the resurrection of life and the lost to the resurrection of damnation. (Revelation 22:20, Daniel 12:2, Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-55)
WE BELIEVE that all followers of Jesus are to be committed to the fulfilling of the Great Commission, as found in Mt. 28:18-20, and to be involved in making it possible for the Gospel to be preached to all the peoples of the world. (Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15, Romans 10:13-15, Acts 13:47, Psalm 96:3)
