The Program Cost for the Lead Venture program is $3,200* per semester. This costs includes:
Courses taken through BGU
Special campus events
Team development outings
*The above-listed costs does NOT include the additional Media Track required supplies listed above on this page. Lead Venture Media participants are expected to buy those required items and have those items with them when they arrive in Minnesota at the start of the semester. (If you are not in the Lead Media Track, then this requirement does not apply to you).
Lead Venture is an education-based program and therefore, according to IRS regulations, any payments we receive towards the Lead Venture program are NOT tax-deductible. We encourage potential sponsors and donors to give directly to the individual participant that they would like to support.
We also encourage potential Lead Venture participants to utilize their local church as a conduit to receive funds if the potential Lead Venture participant is wanting for their sponsors and donors to receive tax deduction; and then simply have the local church pay the fees/costs directly to Bethany International on behalf of the participant.
No. Lead Venture is not an accredited educational program, therefore it is not eligible for Title IV funding, government-guaranteed student loans, or any form of FAFSA student aid that many college students typically get when attending college.
Of course, you are welcome to apply for personal banks loans through your local bank or other credit source, if you choose, but that is something you would handle on your own, and it is not something that we would be involved with.
In most cases, we encourage potential Lead Venture participants to engage in fundraisers or seek sponsors as the means to pay for the costs of the program, in lieu of any sort of loans.
No, not 100% of the money is due at the start of the semester, but there is a payment due on registration day when you arrive on campus.
In most cases we require that all Lead Venture participants meet all financial deadlines and remain current on their payments.
However, we recognize that this might not be possible for some people, so there is a potential for an adjusted payment plan, if needed. If you are unable to pay in full on registration day or if you are unable to meet the financial deadlines, simply please contact us or connect with your admissions representative to discuss a potential custom payment plan option.
