Worship isn’t just about music, it’s an overflow of adoration for this one man. Prayer isn’t just about asking for what you need, it’s a conversation with the maker of the universe.

Take 4-8 months to draw closer to God, learn how to live a lifestyle of worship, hone your musical gifts, and gain the confidence you need to lead others in worship.

CLASSES & HANDS-ON LEARNING

Learn to lead worship through a variety of classes, hands-on activities,  mentorship, and practice. Throughout the program you will learn how to:

Theology of Prayer

What is Prayer?, Intimacy with Jesus, Role of Intercession, Application to Missions

THEOLOGY OF WORSHIP

What is worship?, song theology, life of David, life of a worshipper

WORSHIP TEAM DYNAMICS

Pursuing excellence, pastoring your team, the art of worship leading, songwriting

LEARNING MUSIC THEORY

Modern music vocabulary, elements of rhythm, elements of pitch, scales, chording, Nashville number system

AUDIO/VIDEO TRAINING

EQ, compression, mixing, live audio, effects

INSTRUMENT PRACTICE

5 hours practice per week + weekly rehearsals

PERSONAL LESSONS

Personal instrument lessons and training follow-up

FURNACE PRAYER ROOM TIME

3 hours/week attending a live watch in the Furnace Prayer Room

 EIGHT MONTHS – TWO PHASES

The Lead Prayer & Worship is broken up into two phases. The first is part of the core 

Lead Worship: Phase One

During your first 4 months, you will be a part of the Lead Core Track, but also be part of Lead Prayer & Worship. This includes:

  • The full core program of discipleship and leadership courses (15-17 hours of training each week)
  • Being a part of a worship band
  • Playing live worship in the prayer room bi-monthly

Lead Worship: Phase Two

After the core program, you will be immersed fully in the Lead Prayer & Worship intensive phase. This includes:

  • Continued worship band involvement and group instrument lessons
  • Eight to twelve hours of worship training per week
  • Five to ten hours in the prayer room per week
  • An hour a day practicing on your craft (instrument or voice)
  • One-on-one mentorship on spiritual formation
  • Play live worship in the prayer room weekly
